The Snakebite Collection: Every Skin, Rarity & Full Guide

The Snakebite Collection is one of the most recognizable drop pools in Counter-Strike 2, built around the Snakebite Case that first landed on May 3, 2021 as part of Operation Broken Fang’s tail end. We’re breaking down every skin inside it, from the headline USP-S The Traitor to the rare-slot Broken Fang gloves, so you know exactly what the case holds before you spend a key.

If you’re hunting a specific grail, trading up, or just curious about the lineup, this guide covers all 17 skins, their rarities, and which ones are actually worth chasing.

What Is the Snakebite Collection?

The Snakebite Collection is the full set of 17 weapon finishes that drop from the Snakebite Case. It released on May 3, 2021 and uses the standard case rarity ladder: Mil-Spec Blue, Restricted Purple, Classified Pink, Covert Red, and a Rare Special “Gold” slot that drops Broken Fang Gloves instead of a knife.

Unlike older cases, Snakebite swapped out knives entirely. The Rare Special drops are glove finishes from broken fang gloves and other glove families introduced during Operation Broken Fang.

The Headline Skins: What Actually Sells

Two Covert finishes carry the entire case, and they do it in very different ways.

USP-S The Traitor

The Traitor is the case’s cover star. The hand clawing out of the slide gives the pistol a horror-movie feel that nothing else in the usp-s lineup matches. It’s dark enough to run with any loadout and distinctive enough to spot in a killcam. Factory New and StatTrak copies command a serious premium thanks to how clean the artwork reads.

M4A4 In Living Color

The counterpart on the CT side is M4A4 In Living Color. It’s a loud, paint-splattered design that reads like a graffiti wall, and it’s divisive on purpose. For m4a4 players who want to be seen, this is the pick. Expect visible wear patterns to show on the receiver as float climbs.

The Underrated Pulls

Not every strong skin in Snakebite is a Covert.

AK-47 Slate is the quiet winner of the Restricted tier. It’s a plain matte black finish with no pattern noise, which makes it the perfect sticker canvas. Crafted Slates with four clean stickers have become a staple of community loadouts for exactly that reason. If you want a budget blank for ak-47 stickers, this is the one.

Desert Eagle Trigger Discipline gives the desert eagle a sharp, military-stencil style that stays readable at every wear tier. It’s a strong Restricted-tier pistol that doesn’t chase a theme too hard.

Galil AR Chromatic Aberration is probably the most interesting Classified. The glitched-pixel look sits well on the Galil’s chunky silhouette.

The Rare Special: Broken Fang Gloves

Here’s where Snakebite differs from most other cases.

The Rare Special slot drops Broken Fang Gloves, not a knife. These were introduced during Operation Broken Fang and only drop from a handful of cases, which makes Snakebite one of the main routes to the family.

Common Broken Fang finishes you can pull include:

  • Broken Fang Gloves Jade
  • Broken Fang Gloves Yellow-banded
  • Broken Fang Gloves Needle Point
  • Broken Fang Gloves Unhinged
  • Broken Fang Gloves Poison Mantis

The hit rate for a Rare Special drop is roughly 0.26% across CS2 cases, which is the same odds as pulling a knife from a knife case. If gloves aren’t your thing, this fundamentally changes the value proposition of opening Snakebite over something like the kilowatt case or gallery case.

Is Snakebite Worth Opening?

The honest answer is: it depends on what you want.

Open it if:

  • You want a specific Snakebite skin (The Traitor, In Living Color, Slate) and the single market price is close to a key plus a case
  • You like Broken Fang Gloves and don’t need a knife out of the deal
  • You’re trade-up fodder hunting and need cheap Mil-Spec blues

Skip it if:

  • You want knives from your rare special drops, look at any of the current all weapon cases that drop knives instead
  • You already own The Traitor and In Living Color, the rest of the case is thin
  • You’re trying to invest and want a case that’s still actively dropping as a weekly reward

Snakebite stopped being an active drop a while back, which means supply is finite. That’s a tailwind for long-term holders, but it also means prices have already moved. Compare current single-skin prices against case-plus-key math before you open.

Snakebite vs Operation Broken Fang Case

These two often get confused because they share the glove drops. They don’t share skin pools.

If you’re specifically after Broken Fang Gloves, both cases work, but the operation broken fang case carries the far more valuable M4A1-S Printstream as its Covert, which pushes its average expected value higher per open.

Trade-Up Possibilities

The Snakebite Collection plays well in trade-ups because of its clean rarity ladder.

  • Mil-Spec to Restricted: ten Mil-Spec Snakebite skins trade up into a random Restricted from the same collection. AK-47 Slate is the standout outcome.
  • Restricted to Classified: ten Restricted Snakebites get you one of the three Classifieds.
  • Classified to Covert: ten Classifieds roll into either The Traitor or In Living Color.

The Covert float math is where this gets interesting. Running a low-float Classified trade-up gives you a shot at a low-float Traitor, which is where the real money sits.

If you need a refresher on how collection trade-ups route into knives and specials, what skins give what knife in trade up walks through the mechanics for other cases, though note that Snakebite trade-ups land on gloves, not knives.

Snakebite Skins in Competitive Play

A few of these skins have genuine traction in Premier and FACEIT lobbies.

The Traitor is a popular pistol pick because the dark finish doesn’t flash the eye during tap-pistol rounds. AK-47 Slate shows up constantly in high-tier player loadouts as a sticker base. Desert Eagle Trigger Discipline is one of those understated finishes that holds up well on the pop-flash first-round Deag plays, especially on CT spawn pushes into Mid.

In Living Color is more of a casual-lobby showpiece. The pattern is loud enough that some players find it distracting on their own screen.

The Bottom Line

The Snakebite Collection is a cleanly-designed 17-skin pool anchored by two strong Coverts (USP-S The Traitor and M4A4 In Living Color), a sleeper Restricted in AK-47 Slate, and a Rare Special that drops Broken Fang Gloves instead of knives. The glove-only rare slot is the single biggest factor that should decide whether you open the case yourself or just buy the skin you want on the market.

If you want The Traitor on your pistol slot, buy it outright. If you want to gamble on Broken Fang Gloves and don’t care about knives, Snakebite is one of the cleanest routes left in the game.
